Limited editions are available as well: You can choose the 80th Anniversary, Laredo X, Limited X, High Altitude, and Freedom for something special.

With the Chevy Tahoe, you’ll get to pick one out of six trims like LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country.

Many tech items mirror each other in both cars, but these few Jeep devices overpower the Chevy. To vocalize any requests to your Grand Cherokee, add integrated Voice Command.

Some systems you’ll be able to direct include the upgraded 19-speaker Harman Kardon® Premium Audio System in the Jeep. With the Chevy, the competing system, the Bose® audio system only includes 10 speakers.

Differences arise between the available and standard safety systems offered in these SUVs. You get headlights like the Jeep Automatic High-Beam Headlamps and the Chevy IntelliBeam Auto High Beams standard and an Adaptive Cruise Control option, many other devices differ.

For example, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection comes standard in the Jeep but not with the Chevy. The Jeep ParkSense® Rear Park Assist also appears, but you’ll need to add the comparable Rear Park Assist to the Chevy. One unique driver-assist system, Parallel and Perpendicular Park-Assist with Stop, exists as an upgrade in the Jeep but does not surface in the Chevy.

Jeep Grand Cherokee vs Chevy Tahoe Performance

You’ll discover multiple engines in each SUV, although the Jeep provides four with the Chevy providing three. With the standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine and 4×2 powertrain, you’ll be able to achieve an EPA-estimated 19 city/26 highway MPG. When driving the Tahoe with the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, it will only achieve an EPA-estimated 15 city/20 highway MPG.

At its best, the Jeep can produce 707 horsepower with the available supercharged 6.2L V8 engine. If you’re using the Chevy, its maximum horsepower is 420.
